Prohibitions and regulations in Poshekhonye

Abstract

The publication includes folklore materials collected in 2000– 2001 in the town of Poshekhonye and the surrounding area. In this local tradition the prohibitions concerning different spheres of everyday life are well preserved. The publication presents prohibitions and regulations concerning certain actions, norms of behavior, table etiquette, church life, as well as prescriptions related to children.
